Server Expiry, Renewal and Data Retention

To avoid downtime and data loss, keep an eye on your server's expiry and renewal.

Renew before expiry

Contact support to renew before the server expires so service isn't interrupted. Handle it early to avoid peak-time delays affecting your business.

What happens if overdue

After expiry without renewal, a server is usually powered off first, then resources are reclaimed and data cleared after a grace period. The exact grace period is per support's notice; reclaimed data generally can't be recovered, so take this seriously.

Backup advice

• Back up important data regularly to local or other storage;
• Never keep your only copy solely on the server;
• Before migrating or canceling, confirm data is safely exported.
